Configure Liquid Web Email in an Email Client

This guide explains how to add your Liquid Web email account to common email apps using secure IMAP and SMTP settings.

Important: Use your own email address and password when following these steps. you@yourcompany.com is only an example.

Note: This guide intentionally does not include POP3 settings. IMAP is recommended because it keeps mail synchronized across devices.

Configure Liquid Web Email on iPhone or iPad

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Go to Apps > Mail > Mail Accounts. On some iOS versions, go to Settings > Mail > Accounts.
  3. Tap Add Account.
  4. Choose Other.
  5. Tap Add Mail Account.

  1. Tap Next.
  2. Save the account.
  3. If outgoing mail does not work, open the account SMTP settings and confirm SSL is enabled, the port is 465, and authentication is enabled.

  1. Open Outlook.
  2. Choose Add Account.
  3. Enter your full email address.
  4. If Outlook asks how to configure the account, choose IMAP or Manual setup.
  5. Enter the settings below.

Important: If Outlook shows an option for My outgoing server requires authentication, enable it and choose Use same settings as my incoming mail server.

Configure Liquid Web Email in Apple Mail for macOS

  1. Open Mail.
  2. Choose Mail > Add Account.
  3. Choose Other Mail Account.
  4. Enter your name, full email address, and mailbox password.
  5. If Apple Mail cannot verify the account automatically, enter the manual settings below.

After the account is added, confirm the incoming port is 993 with SSL/TLS and the outgoing SMTP port is 465 with SSL/TLS.

Configure Liquid Web Email on Android

Android setup screens vary by phone manufacturer and mail app. The important part is to choose manual IMAP setup and use the settings below.

  1. Open your mail app.
  2. Choose Add Account.
  3. Choose Other or Personal (IMAP).
  4. Enter your full email address and password.
  5. If asked for account type, choose IMAP.

Enable these options if shown:

  • Outgoing server requires authentication
  • Use the same username and password for sending email

Troubleshooting

Liquid Web email troubleshooting checklist

The password is not accepted

  • Confirm the password works in webmail.
  • Make sure there are no extra spaces before or after the password.
  • Use the full email address as the username.

You can receive email but cannot send

  • Confirm the outgoing server is secure.emailsrvr.com.
  • Confirm the outgoing port is 465.
  • Confirm SSL/TLS is enabled.
  • Confirm SMTP authentication is enabled.

You can send email but cannot receive

  • Confirm the incoming server is secure.emailsrvr.com.
  • Confirm the incoming port is 993.
  • Confirm SSL/TLS is enabled.

Your folders do not look correct

Some email apps need time to synchronize folders the first time the account is added. If Sent, Drafts, or Trash folders do not appear correctly, check the folder mapping or mailbox behavior settings in your email app.

FAQ

Should I use IMAP or POP3?

Use IMAP. IMAP keeps your mailbox synchronized across multiple devices. POP3 is not recommended and is intentionally not included in this guide.

Should I use my full email address as the username?

Yes. Use your full email address, such as you@yourcompany.com. Do not use only the part before the @ symbol.

Can I configure the same mailbox on more than one device?

Yes. IMAP is designed for use on multiple devices.

Does this setup synchronize calendars and contacts?

No. IMAP synchronizes email only. Calendar and contact synchronization may require Mobile Sync or another service, depending on your mailbox plan and device support.

What if automatic setup does not work?

Choose manual setup and enter the server settings shown in the section for your device or email app.
